What is life………?

February 11th, 2007 by adelechee

Tribute to Philip Bean……….

What is life…

When you live everyday in misery?

What is life…

When you have people you hate around you?

What is life…

When you do not treasure the little things that matter?

What is life…

When all your cares and concerns go to waste?

What is life…

When you have no God in you?

Life is…

When you smile sincerely everyday, even if it is from within,

Life is…

When you accept that love is free for all, especially for yourself,

Life is…

When the smallest gesture means the world to you,

Life is…

When you stop worrying for the future but enjoy the present,

Life is…

When you surrender all to Him for better or worse

-Adèle- (12.02.2007; 2.52pm)

My uncle Phil, I know you’ve lived life to the fullest and with no regrets. I live life now with a regret of not being able to meet you before you go. It has been a great friendship while it lasted. You will be etched in my memory til the day I die because then, i wouldn’t need the memories anymore. I will be sharing a place with you in the bosom of our dear Father God, the Lord Jesus Christ. May you rest in peace. Love you lots uncle Phil!! Hugs and kisses…..

p/s: This made me appreciate the song "Life is Short" from Grey’s Anatomy’s sountrack even more.

What a poem to start the year with! :’(

It saddens yet strengthens me as I wrote this for my dearest…..

Uncle Phil

From the moment I knew you,
The sparks of love just flew,
A dear friend I found so true,
Sincere and kind, not to mention cute! *blush*

In good times and bad I’m praying for you,
May the Lord lay His miraculous Hands on you,
All the more now to help you pull through,
Be peacefully comforted in Him carrying out His Will.

My dearest uncle Phil,
Through the years I’ve known you,
A loving husband and a father so true,
May the love and care you have shared be now doubled upon you!

Let not worry and fear consume you,
Continue to keep your faith in Him firm and true,
For we know not what is His plan in this moment so blue,
Because He is a God who hides Himself, Isaiah said so in his book.

The Lord guides us with His presence ever so quietly,
Often undetected unless we walk with Him intimately,
So take this time precious, do not corrupt it with negativity,
Fill your time with His life abundantly!

The works of the earth will be of the earth,
The great works of the Lord will be of His greatness,
In one prayer to Him we are, please find solace and rest,
Also please know that you are cherished, loved and well blest!

Jacinta and I

This is a story of Jacinta and I,
It all began when she came into my life,
Jacinta and I share a special bond,
I was but only 4 years old the day she was born.

Like sisters we are in almost everything,
From sharing secrets and chores, even gossiping,
She is a friend, company and confidante,
In good times she celebrates, in bad times she never scorns.

Trotting down the lane,
Like two lovers walking in the rain,
Galloping in the meadows,
Accompanied only by our shadows.

Whispering little praises to each other,
We make a more symetrical pair than the five-leaf clover,
Our thoughts, hearts and spirits entwine,
A relationship that is sure to last to stand the test of time.

There is more than meets the eye,
When talking about Jacinta and I,
A love to match the wonders of the world,
A story deserved to be made known.

I miss the time of Jacinta and I,
Even before the moment I had to say goodbye,
I can’t wait for tomorrow’s new sunrise,
For a time again with Jacinta beneath the great blue skies.

Sunflowers

Bright yellow petals to cheer up my day,
Taking all sad lonely tears away,
My beautiful sunflowers smiling at me,
It is hard not to smile back showing my teeth!

The only life besides myself at my desk,
Bringing calmness and peace in this turbulent mess,
Although placed in a tight little corner,
The serenity it displays is like none other!

Fresh sunflower scent lingering in the air,
Lifting up spirits of people everywhere,
It may not know how much its cost,
But seeing the sparkles in my eyes should let it know it is worth alot!

Sunflower, what did i do to deserve you?
I don’t remember having yet paid my due,
I thank you for coming into my life,
For adding sweet frangance making everything sweet and nice!

This is dedicated to my sunflower,
Who made my gloomy day so much better,
I am even posting up its photo,
So that all of you my sunflower may know!

Change

Of summer breeze in June,
And December winter snow,
Of April spring getting into bloom,
And September fall in dimming autumn glow.

When the wind wonders in from the east,
The sudden blizzard blows from the west,
When all you want is to keep things at ease,
Some things will bound to put your cause to the test.

Monsoon rain and equatorial heat,
Un-quenching draught in a vast ice-land,
When things start to get comfortable and neat,
Reality makes a sudden twist to your hair and pulls you by the hand.

The dessert Sahara and the river Nile,
Versus the Amazon in all its lush glory,
Makes you wonder if this is all worthwhile,
Or will it just be another chapter in the book of your life’s history.

Take a step into the wild, be it the savannah or ocean,
Make a trip into the plains, whether the tundra or the prairie,
Let your mind wonder, keep your heart open,
Exercise your senses to touch, feel and see.

From a calm and gentle wisp,
Who could ever suspect a hurricane billowing?
Racing pulse from steady heartbeats,
Sudden flashes of memory get silly smiles bursting.

The sun and the moon and the stars in the sky,
The planets, universe and galaxies beyond,
For every situation in life we would wonder what, how and why,
To keep on wondering or stop wondering, the life around you will still go on.

Deep and wide is the big blue sea,
Separating us from earth’s mantel core,
To move with the tide might prove to be exciting,
To remain the same will prevent the chances of sores.

The dilemma of change will never stop,
The knowledge of hope helps get our journey on the move,
The growth of maturity in life happens whenever we flop,
The only thing to do now is to fold back the convertible’s roof.

After ages…..

November 13th, 2006 by adelechee

Feels like eons since I last type anything in here. Sigh…….

Anyways, what’s there for me to yap along here?? I think since I left off, I spent the last week of Aug in Singapore - I had a blast there, I had a good month of Sept, I had a superbly wonderful month of Oct with tons of b’day presents especially my second generation pink 4Gb iPod Nano with my name on it (woo-hoo!!) and a bouquet of a combination of my favourite flowers from a dear friend and a good 9 days tomb raiding in Cambodia (though I had to miss lemang for that this year) as a b’day present to myself, and the last weekend was awesomely great spending time with a very very dear friend of mine.

Although work has been crazy, I thank the Lord for His abundant Love, Grace and Mercy to bless me with more joy and laughter than tears and sadness had I not kept my faith and trust in Him. I continue to seek His guidance in everything that I do daily, and pray that I’m moving according and in His will.

Am currently doing bible study on Proverbs with a dear friend of mine and also with my family. It is really a great book to pursue for growth in humanity. Though we must never forget the aspect of divinity in our growth in Life for humanity with Christ is just vanity of vanities.

It’s getting ‘late’ and I have a full day yet again tomorrow. So, hope to be of entertaintment soon in the ‘very’ near future (I won’t make promises I can’t keep so I don’t know when I’ll be blogging again next). But til then, you all take care and God bless ya!! Toodles….Allybeach

~baby ally~ (reminds me so much of me! if i have the time, i’ll scan a pic like this of myself at the same age (if i’m not mistaken) and you all can see for yourselves the similarities!)

Specially for my eldest uncle….

Happy 60th!

Dearest uncle, Beloved brother,
Wonderful husband and father,
We are gathered here to celebrate,
None other than you and your age! (haha….)

As a husband, you are loving and kind,
Your passion in marriage only grew with time,
Holding strong to the bond of holy matrimony,
Bringing a blissful union into eternity.

As a father, you are stern yet understanding,
You reprimand at every wrong doings,
But you are also very forgiving towards all mistakes,
For this we say, "Daddy you’re great!!"

As a brother, the eldest no less,
You held a responsibility that puts your patience to the test,
No matter how we drive you up the wall,
You were always there to catch us when we fall.

As an uncle, you treated us like your own children,
Pampering us with gifts of toys and wisdom,
Checking on us when we were younger,
Checking on us still now, even when we are older.

No matter how you are related to anyone,
Always remember that you are one of God’s sons,
May you continue to be blessed in His Love,
Enjoy all that He brings you this sixtieth!!

Self-improvement DAY =Þ

June 9th, 2006 by adelechee

After losing my ‘laughing gas’, I got down on to some serious thinking and analyzing of my self. Here are some of the must do’s and don’ts for me to prepare myself for the next time around (IF it comes):

  1. Must not be so full of myself although it’s just in words and not in person, it can really get on people’s nerves
  2. Must not be so blur of my surroundings (the world and people’s feelings): i.e. be more sensitive and read/listen to the news!!
  3. Must not eat too much fried stuffs (ha-ha!)
  4. Must not laugh too much and too loud. It’s very annoying, uncultured and un-ladylike. (Sob sob…. Oh, it’s just as well since I lost my laughing gas anyway!)
  5. Must exercise!! For a healthier living and gorgeous body. (Every guy dreams of having a trophy wife. So, if you’re capable in giving him that, why not? Everyone can live with more bonuses in life anyway! =D)
  6. Must love dogs (no intention of copyrighting the movie title). Well, at least not be afraid to touch them. Of course, provided the guy MUST LOVE HORSES too! =D
  7. Must be the Woman I’m made to be and need to be and not the Man I want to be.
  8. Must practice the patience and understanding that I so claim to have towards my love ones.
  9. Must learn to give unconditionally even though it will break your heart at the end because if you trust and have faith in Him, whatever you give is not really out of you but of Him. In order to know if you are on the right path of giving, read the last MUST DO.

Last but definitely not in the very least but in fact, must be in the above all, top foremost,

  1. Pray crazily to Jesus to keep you sane when your other half is driving you insane, to bring out your love when your other half is pressing it down, to keep you going on without regrets no matter what your other half did or is doing to you and to bring your other half together closer to Him who has brought both of you together for a reason. So, discover THE reason, together!
  2. Actually, that can’t be my last must do. My last must do is, DO all the above! Ha-ha…. I actually listed more but I left my list in the office and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to update my blog in the near future so I thought I’d better just post this up sooner than…. NEVER! And also, I would all of you to add-on (which I hope to do myself IF I can find the time!) to or comment on my list to help me through this. Please give me some feedback. Hate to repeat these same mistakes again later in life. Every change and evolution takes time and some varies from a shorter to a longer time. So, the sooner I get to it the sooner I’ll make the people’s lives around me less miserable.

Thanks peeps!!

Love lots…..

Impromptu Dedication

May 21st, 2006 by adelechee

For the peace of mind:

Steps to Take

Bedtime prayers are the best said,
Because the world stands still when you are in bed,
Then you can pray for all before your eyes God has laid,
That may the right path He has for you be clearly spread.

No matter which path He leads you to,
The decision to take it depends solely on you,
Environments can only influence you so much,
The best advice is still to listen to the voice of your heart.

Let your heart and self love,
Even if it will end in tears,
Better to give more than you take,
It will help your conscience when your heart breaks.

Isn’t it better to be just friends,
Fostering a friendship that is kindred,
Than to end up being fiends,
Where there is nothing but hatred?

Appreciate what you have now,
Don’t wonder about the future’s why’s, when’s and how’s,
Build on the materials you have today,
Let it assume its structured design come what may.

Ponder not any further,
Do what you think you must,
Let no more the questions to linger,
All you have to do is ask.
